Integra Consultoría, from an AI-built site to production

Site created with AI that I reviewed, migrated to WordPress and published on a cPanel VPS, with SEO, a quote calculator and forms.

What was needed

The owner of an industrial safety, environmental management and logistics consultancy built their site with Lovable, an AI tool. It looked good, but to publish it on their hosting (a VPS with cPanel) a developer had to review it: so it was published properly, so their team could edit it and so it had what it needed to appear in search engines and receive inquiries.

What I found

I reviewed the project and its architecture:

  • A beta Node server. It was a React application with server-side rendering on an environment still in development. It needed a Node process running all the time, something a regular cPanel doesn’t handle well and that would be hard to maintain.
  • Content inside the code. Changing a text or an image meant modifying the project and building it again, with no panel for their team.
  • Things left to define. The emails that would receive the forms, the production domain and the client logos were missing; they were only initials.

With that I decided to migrate it to WordPress, which runs on cPanel with nothing extra, and keep the design, the structure and the texts.

What I did

  • Migration: I built a custom theme and moved the site to Elementor. Colors, typefaces (Sora and Manrope, hosted on the site itself) and buttons are defined once in the design kit. All sections use Elementor widgets or widgets from my GeekCore Toolkit plugin, with no embedded HTML, so the team can edit them.
  • Features: quote calculator by service type, contact form, a form to download a template, sticky header, floating WhatsApp button and a 404 page.
  • SEO: title and description per page, Open Graph, JSON-LD structured data, sitemap and an llms.txt file. I also fixed a problem: WordPress returned a 404 on the sitemap while there were no published posts.
  • Importer: a plugin creates the media, design kit, pages, SEO, menus, templates and settings in one go. It can be repeated without duplicating anything and also runs from the command line.
  • Testing: I installed the site from the files on a clean WordPress and checked the result on desktop and on the phone.

Result

The site is published on the client’s VPS, their team edits it on their own and it can be reinstalled on any server. It is the kind of work I explain in taking a project made with AI to production.
